La Romana is a city and port specially the cruise ship, located in southeastern Dominican Republic Caribbean coast. It is nearby a white-sand beaches resort area called Bayahibe (around 25 KM). Also the City included some beach like Playa Caleta and several other private and public beaches,

The distance from La Romana to Santo Domingo (The Capital) around 120 KM) and around 75 KM from Punta Cana.

Comparing La Romana with other known City in DR, It is than most of this cities and does not have that many hotels as Punta Cana. However, it offers stunning beaches, calm and very clean water. The luxurious Casa de Campo Resort is Dominican Republic’s most famous luxury resort and residential community and one of the important places in La Romana which open in 1974, a celebrity favorite with their famous golf courses. The adjacent 16th century Altos de Chavón (called “the country’s leading attraction”) followed one of the stunning replica of a Mediterranean village towering over the Chavón River, which including an outdoor Grecian amphitheater where major artists perform every year. 

La Romana is the gateway to Saona and Catalina Islands, which are part of the Cotubanamá National Park, and the most visited natural attractions in the country.

La Romana one of the largest sugar cane mills which process by Central La Romana (one of the company that control most of the city as work, real state and most of the critical aspect in the city.

The climate in La Romana is hot, oppressive, windy, and partly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 70°F to 90°F and is rarely below 67°F or above 92°F. The rainy season in La Romana last 7 months, Usually start in at the end of April and finish in end of November.
